Wullie Scott Ceilidh Band
The band was put together back in late 2008. After working and doing some gigs with bands like Stuart McKeown – who was his teacher – and standing in with some other bands in his local area, William decided it was time to set up his own band. Initially set up as a 2 piece band of himself and a drummer, the band formed many close friendships in the traditional music scene from frequenting places like The Park Bar, Glasgow for sessions. Over the years these friends became colleagues and band-mates. William has always like to put his own stamp on things and it is the little things that make the difference. Through his many musical influences he has developed a unique sound and has a real knack for connecting with the crowd through his music and hosting skills.
The band can now consist of anything up to a 6 piece band and most often can be found as a 3 piece with drums and either fiddle or piano playing in the band.

William Scott
DJ and Event Host
William began DJing himself in 2010. He had studied music and sound production and over the 18 months prior to starting himself, worked with many other DJs in the country. It was through doing so that he decided to go it alone! Seeing what the other guys were doing and how they could control the room and ensure guests having such a great time made him want some for himself!
After saving some money he invested in some of the basic equipment like lights, laptop, hard drive, purchasing a backlog of music and the most important thing; hours of practice. The first gig was one for someone who was having a charity fundraiser and was the perfect opportunity to try everything out properly. The first big gig was the very next night at The Glasgow Marriott Hotel for a Graduation Ball. Since then, there has been a very good working relationship between the hotel and the band and this is somewhere we always enjoy working as a band and/or DJ.
The years of experience and doing events have allowed the skills to develop naturally on there own. In addition, William has worked alongside many of the top DJs in the country like 2fatDJs, Atlantic Discos, DJ Tommy Gray, David Munro and Chris Taylor. It is only through working with these guys and the networking that comes with being a DJ in the area that things have really ramped up a few gears and the hosting skills are always growing. Murray
Frazer started playing with the band in 2019 and from the very beginning has just hit it off with the band and their style.
David Graham
Multi musician David plays drums with the band regularly but also turns his hand to a few tunes on the accordion.
Kyle
Innes
Kyle plays regularly with a number of bands. Started an accordionist and later a drummer, where he now finds himself in demand.
Alasdair MacLeod
One of the most in demand second accordionists in the trad music scene, Alasdair has played with many top bands.
Martainn Skene
A fine young musician, Martainn has a unique west coast style which blends perfectly with the energetic sound the band like to have.
Nicky McMichan
Piano
One of the most in demand multi instrumentalists in the country, Nicky is a close friend and is regularly found in the band alongside William.
