Hosting & DJ
Our DJ package comes with everything you could ever require to make your night the best it can be. We get everything we need to know prior to the event at our “client meetings” and this allows us to make your night one to remember for all the right reasons. We will host from cake cutting through to the end of the evening for you. Top sound and lighting equipment is used at every event.

HOSTING & dj
WITH CEILIDH
We will have all of your guests having an absolute blast with our experience and hosting skills. We keep them right from the beginning to the end of the evening reception. With this option you will also get ceilidh hosting including. This mean that William will be on the floor keeping you right as he guides you and your guests through each dance from a Gay Gordons to Strip the willow, via a Canadian Barn Dance and a Two-Step!

FAQs
What PA & Lighting do you need?
We will bring everything we require (and so much more) with us to every event. We bring backup upon backup for every little thing. Active PA system which can work in many way and if one speaker stops working, we still have the other. We bring lots of extra lighting to every performance, including the ceilidh band only booking. With all DJ bookings we bring 2 of everything required to DJ on the evening from cables, hard drives and even 2 laptops to run the whole thing too! We use all reputable and top of the range equipment from QSC, Apple and American DJ.
Do you have full insurance?
We have been a member of the Association of Mobile DJ’s/Bands since we started trading almost 14 years ago now. We get public liability insurance which covers us to a very high value at every event we perform at.We also se equipment which is tested when required and the majority of our equipment is fairly new as we are constantly upgrading, reinvesting and mixing up our setup to ensure we keep up with trends and don’t end up behind the times. Hopefully this gives you peace of mind.
Can you teach us the dances?
This is something we have vast experience in doing and actually really enjoy doing. It allows us to have a bit of a laugh with you and your guests and occasionally make some of you look a bit silly too. It is all about having fun and not about perfection. We are having a ceilidh not attending a country dance in the local village hall (in most cases!).
Do you travel far?
We are based centrally in Scotland but we have played all over as a band from South West Wales to London and Shetland to Italy. We will travel the world but in some situations we may require accommodation to be provided or add on an increase to the fee, to allow us to book our own accommodation for the night.
What happens in the event of a cancellation?
We use a very in depth contract which covers all of this but basically if we cannot manage on the evening for any reason whatsoever (COVID or not), we will provide alternative band members as close to what you were due to have. You will be provided with the service you booked. Whether that be ceilidh band, DJ or both.
What does a WSCD Event look like?
This is difficult to pinpoint.
We usually begin with the ceilidh section. This is a great ice breaker and sets the tone for a top night and lots of fun for all. If the ceilidh is well received we will continue this through to the break/buffet and sometimes afterwards. The disco is the ideal way to finish your evening in most cases but occasionally we are requested to finish with an Orcadian Strip the Willow and Auld Lang Syne.
Truthfully, we are fully flexible and will work with you and your guests because no 2 celebrations are the same, but we guarantee lots of enjoyment and a brilliant time for everyone.
